HR Policies and Procedures are a good way to show commitment to being fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory to all employees.

They also provide a solid foundation for induction training for new employees and are ‘a preventative measure’ – your defence rather than the route of expensive legal costs for employment relations situations further down the track.

So what are robust HR Policies and Procedures? How should they be managed? What policies are essential and what are the ‘nice to haves’?
